1. General Rules
(1)

This notice applies to the purchasing of all tickets (including electronic tickets) issued by the Organising Committee of the World Aquatics Championships Fukuoka 2023 (hereinafter referred to as the "Organising Committee") and to the attending of events using such tickets In purchasing tickets or using various ticket-related services (hereinafter collectively referred to as "purchase, etc."), such purchaser shall comply with this Notice, as well as the terms and conditions of use set out by the official ticketing service providers to whom the Organising Committee entrusts the sale of tickets.

(2)

All Intellectual property rights related to the World Aquatics Championships Fukuoka 2023 (“Event”) including, but not limited to, text, graphics, data, photographic images, moving images, sound, illustrations, software, and the selection and arrangement thereof ("World Aquatics rights”), is owned by World Aquatics with its registered office at Chemin de Bellevue 24a/24b, CH - 1005 Lausanne, Switzerland ("World Aquatics"), its licensors, or its third-party image partners and all rights are reserved. All commercial elements of the Event, including World Aquatics Rights, are protected by copyright, trade dress, moral rights, trademark and other laws relating to the protection of intellectual property.

(3)

Ticket agency shall, to the extent within its reasonable power, make good faith efforts to take such reasonable measures as are necessary to protect the World Aquatics rights granted to Company. In particular, the ticket agency shall use its best endeavours to prevent ambush marketing. If a circumstance arises outside the ticket agency's reasonable control that infringes World Aquatics' rights, representatives of the ticket agency and World Aquatics shall meet and confer to discuss a possible course of action.

2. Purchasing Tickets
(1)

A limit is set to the number of tickets that can be purchased for each seat type. To allow as many people as possible to attend the events, the Organising Committee reserves the right to change the maximum number of times tickets can be applied for, and/or the maximum number of tickets that can be applied for.

(2)

One ticket is required per person to attend each Session. For children under 3 years old, one child per parent or guardian may attend any session without a ticket, provided that such child is seated on the parent or guardian's lap. If a child requires a seat, a ticket is necessary regardless of the child’s age. ※”Session" is a sporting or cultural event during a specified time frame for which tickets are issued, and may include award ceremonies and other ceremonies.

(3)

The Organising Committee shall assign the ticket purchaser a seat or space to attend the event according to the type of ticket purchased. Ticket purchasers may not request a change in their assigned seat or space. However, the Organising Committee may, at its discretion, change such assigned seat or space to other seat or space at an equivalent or superior location at any venue or event, if deemed necessary for the operation of the Championships, for purposes such as venue set-up or securing safety.

(4)

Wheelchair users are requested to purchase wheelchair user tickets. Any person accompanying a wheelchair user must also purchase a ticket issued for the purpose of accompanying a wheelchair user. Please note that such ticket is not valid for an entry to the venue and must be used to accompany a wheelchair user in the venue. No refunds after purchase. To purchase wheelchair user tickets, please call or send a fax to the numbers listed in Item 10 “Enquiries on tickets and other related matters (including wheelchair user tickets).”

(5)

Original Design Tickets are sold either as a multi-day pass or as a S-seat ticket. Original Design Tickets may only be purchased during the random draw period.

(6)

For each Original Design Ticket, a shipping fee and printing fee will be additionally charged. Please view the ticket purchasing website for more details.

(7)

Only credit card payment is accepted for e-tickets.

(8)

Multi-day pass allows its holder to watch all sessions of the event on a Discipline basis. Such pass is available only during random selection draw period.

(9)

Multi-day pass entitles its holder to the same seat for all sessions of the discipline. Pass holders are requested to leave the venue and re-enter at the opening time of the next session. Multi-day Pass must be shown at admission of each session since visitors will be replaced after each session.

(10)

Minors purchasing tickets must obtain the consent of a legal representative such as a parent or guardian.

(11)

Student ticket holders may be requested to present their IDs at the time of admission to verify their age.

(12)

The Organising Committee shall not be responsible for tickets purchased from parties other than the official ticketing service providers, may void such tickets without refund, and demand that the holders return such tickets. Official ticketing service providers are limited to those listed on the official Championships website.

(13)

The Organising Committee shall, at its discretion, determine the total number of tickets to be sold and/or the cancellation or resumption of ticket sales. In the event of the total number of tickets being increased or decreased, or ticket sales being suspended or resumed, tickets already ordered for purchase may not be changed or cancelled. Purchased tickets shall not be changed, cancelled, exchanged or refunded in such event.

3. No Resale
(1)

Transferring tickets for a fee without the consent of the promoter, reselling tickets, purchasing tickets for the purpose of resale, providing tickets to any third party who is attempting to resell them, or attempting to resell tickets through internet including auctions, flea markets, bulletin boards, and social media platforms are strictly prohibited.

(2)

Tickets sold or offered for sale or advertised in violation of the preceding paragraph shall become void. In such case, the voided ticket shall not be exchanged or refunded.

(3)

Unauthorised resale of tickets may be subject to criminal charges, and the Organising Committee may report any such resale, or any offer or advertisement thereof, to the police.

4. Venue Access
(1)

Access to the venue and attending the events is only permitted upon presentation of a valid ticket to the venue staff.

(2)

Security inspections may be conducted on ticket holders and their personal belongings to ensure the safety of the events. Ticket holders should arrive at the venue well in advance of the event’s start time, considering the time required for such security inspections and for their travel to the venue.

(3)

Tickets shall not be refunded for ticket holders arriving late at the venue for reasons other than those attributable to the Organising Committee, such as personal reasons or transportation delays.

(4)

Ticket holders refusing security inspections may not enter the venue. They must leave the venue immediately if already in the venue. Tickets held by such ticket holders shall not be subject to refund by the Organising Committee.

(5)

Hazardous materials are strictly prohibited at all times in the venue. In the event a ticket holder is found to be in possession of hazardous materials and/or other prohibited items at the venue, such items must be abandoned immediately or the ticket holder must leave the venue. Tickets held by such ticket holders shall not be subject to refund by the Organising Committee.

(6)

For a list of hazardous materials, s including notably, but not limited to weapons, explosives and poisons, and other prohibited items, please refer to the Championships’ official website.

(7)

Tickets must be carried at all times while attending any event. Tickets must be presented for identity verification and/or for other checks when requested by the Organising Committee’s staff, venue staff, police officers or other staff related to the operation of the event. Ticket holders not complying with such request may be asked to leave the venue. Tickets held by such ticket holders shall not be subject to refund by the Organising Committee.

(8)

Please use public transportation to access the venue. For access information, please check the Championships’ official website.

5. Attending the Event
(1)

Times of the venue opening and the start of the event are subject to change. Please note that the starting and conclusion times of the events may change depending on the day’s operation or for other reasons.

(2)

Some seats may have obstructive views of the event and/or the scoreboards due to equipment and other items.

(3)

“Interfering with the progress of any event”, “Watching any event outside of the designated areas” and “Entering prohibited areas” are strictly prohibited. For a list of prohibited acts, please refer to the Championships’ official website.

(4)

The Organising Committee is not responsible for any theft or loss of valuables, luggage or other personal belongings. Please keep your eyes on your personal belongings.

(5)

Eating and drinking are allowed in the spectators’ stands.

(6)

Unmannerly acts to others and/or disobedience towards the event staff by ticket holders may lead to such ticket holders being asked to leave the venue. Tickets held by such ticket holders shall not be subject to refund.

6. Photo Taking and Video Recording
(1)

The ticket holder consents to the use of his/her image or likeness incidental to any transmission or reproduction of the Event. In addition, the ticket holder grants to the World Aquatics, Company or any affiliate associated of the World Aquatics or Company the unrestricted right to produce, reproduce, publish, broadcast, communicate by telecommunication, exhibit, distribute, adapt or otherwise use or re-use the ticket’s holder, voice recordings, photographs and likeness to photographs, videotapes, film or sound recordings provided for, stemming from, or obtained or taken in relation to, the ticket’s holder attendance at the Event for any and all advertising or promotional purposes without further compensation or permission.

(2)

The following photo and/or video shooting acts by the ticket holders in the venue are strictly prohibited:
•Photo and/or video shooting for commercial purposes
•Photo and/or video shooting that raises the suspicion of sexual harassment towards athletes and other persons
•Shooting with a camera lens of at least 30 cm in length

(3)

Ticket holders shall agree that World Aquatics retains the intellectual property rights to the content photographed or recorded at the venue and shall agree to transfer all rights related to such content to World Aquatics. They shall also agree not to exercise their moral rights.

(4)

Any content photographed or recorded by the ticket holder at any venue may be used for personal, private, non-commercial and non-promotional purposes.

(5)

Ticket holders shall not collect information at any venue for promotional or gambling purposes. They shall not distribute, transmit or publish information obtained within any venue for such purposes.

7. Exiting and Re-entering the Venue
(1)

On the day of the event, "restricted exiting" may be implemented to avoid congestion at the exits. Please note that in such case, exiting the venue may take longer than usual. Once leaving the venue, ticket holders may not re-enter the venue unless they follow the re-entry method required by the Organising Committee.

8. Refund of Tickets
(1)

When the events are held as scheduled, tickets will not be refunded.

(2)

Any change in venue opening times and/or event start times is not subject to ticket refund or exchange.

(3)

In the event of cancellation of the Championships, cancellation of some events in the Championships, or events being held without spectators, refunds will be made. The maximum amount of such refund is to be the face value of the ticket. In such cases, detailed information will be posted on the Championships’ official website.

(4)

When any session is interrupted, tickets for such session may not be refundable, at the discretion of the Organising Committee.

(5)

Fees for ticket issuance, delivery, and payment at convenience stores are not refundable. In the event that a person cannot attend an event due to travel restrictions from abroad, no refund shall be made to such person.

(6)

Visitors are responsible for their transportation and accommodation expenses to and from the venue. When the event is postponed or cancelled, or the venue is changed, the Organising Committee shall not cover the cost of transportation and accommodation for the visitors.

9. Changes to this Notice
(1)

The Organising Committee reserves the right to change these notices when it is in the general interest of ticket holders or when it does not conflict with the purpose of the event. In such cases, the ticket holder agrees to be bound by the revised contents.

(2)

In the event of any changes to this notice, the details of such changes shall be announced in a manner determined by the Organising Committee.

10. General Provisions
(1)

This Notice is made in Japanese and translated into English. In the event of any inconsistency between the Japanese and translated texts, the Japanese text shall prevail.

(2)

This Notice is governed by the laws of Japan.

(3)

Any dispute between the Organising Committee and a ticket holder shall be resolved through good faith consultation between the parties.

(4)

Any dispute which cannot be resolved through such consultation shall submit to the exclusive and agreed jurisdiction of the Fukuoka District Court at the first instance.

How to use E-ticket

Receiving the ticket(s): E-Ticket(s) will become available from the beginning of July, 2023 and can be received through the App.
*A Notification e-mail from "plusmember.jp" will be send after the E-Tickets are received.

If you claim 2 - 4 tickets, all tickets will be displayed on the smartphone of the person who made the application for the tickets.
*Please be sure to distribute your companions' tickets before entering the venue.
*Free Wi-Fi is not available at the venue, so please check the E-ticket(s) beforehand and ensure that the ticket(s) is displayed on the smartphone.
